1) Tenaciousness is a skill. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
I have used hard work, dedication, patience and a lot of thought. This class requires a lot of assignments of all different levels, from reading a textbook and responding to the text to coming up with your own entrepreneurial idea. It is really important to think deeply into the assignments.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
I really felt like giving up during the "interviewing customers" assignment. It was really hard for me get up the courage to go up to customers that I don't know and recording my encounter. I tried my hardest and did the yellow dig assignments which was one of the most interesting things. It was really cool watching news videos and also reading articles about real life entrepreneurs.
3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
1. Don't give up because these assignments will give you a good skill base.
2. You should definitely think hard into the assignments and think deeply about yourself like the bug list.

I agree with you 100% on the customer interview assignments. I've had a lot of trouble with those assignments myself. I like how you encourage the reader to go the extra step. The Yellowdig section is probably more interesting in my mind than the actual assignments. Glad to see you gave that section a shout out! ReplyDeleteHey Alyssa,
ReplyDeleteThis class really does take dedication, which makes it that much harder when I lack all dedication. I agree that the interviewing is definitely a task. I just find it awkward, ad I don't handle awkward very well. This class definitely pushes the boundaries and can be beneficial. I haven't checked out yellowdig, but I'll have to it sounds interesting. Here's my blog http://triedbloggingendeduponpinterest.blogspot.com/2016/02/half-way-reflection.html
