Hi, my name is Alyssa Freeberg and I am providing a business venture that is called Filter to Flatter. This is a computer software program that allows consumers to filter on online shopping sites to types of ways to flatter themselves, for example if a woman has large boobs and want to have a shirt that flatters her the best.
After spending the last 30 minutes watching pitch after pitch for unexciting and poorly thought out business concepts-- Your idea is a breath of fresh air. One of my 20 "bugs" listed in an earlier blog post, was that "Nordstrom (and everyone else) is constantly out of my size of everything". I'd spend more money, if only I could find things that suited me. In concept-- your product does just that. Bravo.
You have a very cool idea! Although it's not something I'm quite as affected by (being male) I definitely see a market for this and I'm sure clothing stores would love an easier way to get access to more niche markets. My only suggestion would be to try to record your next pitch more at eye level, so you aren't looking down at the camera. If you want to check out my pitch (it's about providing a better wireless connection on campus), I'll link it down below.
Alyssa, I think that you have a great idea on your hands! I think that your idea would actually go over well with consumers, and once you make your product you could just sell it to a big retailer and make tons of money! The only part that I did not like about your pitch is the fact that yo really left men out. Men can still wear clothes that would best suit their body, but at the same time there probably isn't as high of a demand. Feel free to check out my pitch at: http://dillondunn.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1-dillon-dunn.html
Hi Alyssa. Your business idea is definitely different and interesting. I can see the appeal, especially being a woman. We're always trying to find something that looks good on us so it would be nice to have a program that showed our body and what the clothes would look like on. I think it would be great to have this for all stores so you can find what you like before going to the store and wasting time browsing the racks. The only suggestion I have is you should try and raise the camera up to your upper body height so you're not looking down at the camera and providing better lighting. Here is my elevator pitch. http://ctaylornewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
